Without Borders Boxer Rescue

Meet Junior, a 5 year old boxer that has had a less than pleasant life so far. (The light coloured dog shown here.)

At a young age, he fell out of a moving vehicle and broke his back leg. An elderly gentleman rescued Junior. Valiant attempts were made to try to fix the leg, to no avail. This injury does not slow Junior down. He gets around perfectly on three legs. He carries the injured back leg and it is visibly deformed. Junior recently suffered the loss of his companion dog, to the point that his grief almost took his life. The elderly gentleman went in search of a companion dog for Junior. That is where Toby comes in.

Toby is 7 months old. She was rescued from near starvation and provided a loving home by this elderly gentleman. Toby and Junior bonded instantly, and Junior soon overcame his grief; the two of them are now inseparable.

The gentleman has since passed away at the young age of 93. They must be adopted together. Toby is a beautiful brindle. Her tail has not been docked as you can see in the picture. She is a lovable, low-key boxer who often will rely on Junior to let her know if something is okay or not. Junior and Toby walk beautifully on a leash.

Junior does have a thyroid condition and requires medication daily - the medication costs about$8.50/month.

Both dogs were living in a household with both children and cats. They are fine with other dogs and very social with all people. Junior will be neutered prior to placement and his leg checked by Without Borders Boxer Rescue's veterinarian.

This couple has been through a lot in their short lives, please consider opening up your homes and your hearts to these two very deserving boxers.
