RCMPshield_crest2After a lengthy criminal code investigation, twelve counts of Fraud Under $5,000 have been sworn against both Karin Leeanna Adams and Charles Bruce Kirkbride of Quesnel, BC.

Adams and Kirk were the subjects of a complaint involving internet based scams which occurred between October of 2008 and September of 2009. The charges involved fraudulent transactions involving the sales of dogs and horses via the Internet.

Shopping on the Internet can be safe and convenient, however, purchasers must be cautious about purchasing unseen items. For information on known scams, visit the RCMP website, www.phonebusters.com or the Better Business Bureau.

Adams and Kirk were arrested on unendorsed warrants for the offences and are to appear in court on January 12, 2010.
