Fatal fire near Clinton

On February 12, 2012 at 4:55pm, members of the Clinton RCMP detachment responded to a residential fire caused by an explosion in a rural area located approximately 15 km from Clinton. Upon arrival, two men were found deceased as well as a dog.
The cause of the explosion is unknown at this time. The incident is currently under investigation by the Fire Commissioner, the BC Coroners Service and the RCMP.
The identities of the deceased are not being released pending notification of next of kin.
No further information is available at this time. A news release will be disseminated when details become available.
