ATV collision kills two teenagers near 100 Mile HouseAt 9:30am this morning, the 100 Mile House RCMP responded to a report of an ATV collision at the 63 kilometer mark of the 1500 Road, northeast of Lac La Hache.

The two young males, approximately 19 years old and believed to be residents of the Lower Mainland, were discovered approximately 10 feet from the north edge of the road.

Investigation showed that the ATV that they were both riding on left the road and impacted several trees. Both riders of the ATV are believed to have been killed instantly.

"Liquor and speed are believed to be factors in this collision," advised Sergeant Don Mclean of the 100 Mile House RCMP detachment.

The names of the two teenagers are being held pending the notification of the next of kin.

The Coroner's Service is continuing to investigate this incident.
