U-Haul of hydroponics stopped and seized by RCMP

On Feb 2nd, 2010 the 100 Mile House RCMP Traffic services Unit conducted a traffic stop on Highway 97 of a U-haul truck for speeding.
The 100 Mile House general Duty and 100 Mile House Traffic Unit working in conjunction inspected the cargo area of the vehicle for load securement. The vehicle was was discovered to be full of hydroponic growing equipment.
Further investigation of the two males in the vehicle indicated that the passenger was in breach of a Recognizance and was not to possess the hydroponic growing equipment after being arrested on a prior date for cultivation of marijuana. The passenger was arrested and charged with Fail To Comply with Recognizance conditions.
The vehicle was searched and all hydroponic growing equipment was seized. A large amount of cash was also seized under suspicion of Proceeds of Crime.
