Premier promotes BC in Eastern Canada

Premier Gordon Campbell will promote British Columbia and the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games while attending 2010 Torch Relay events, speaking to economic leaders and meeting with national media in eastern Canadian capitals, November 18-21.
“The 2010 Games are helping to raise British Columbia’s profile around the world and also across our own country. We can seize this opportunity to market the people, products and advantages our province has to offer and generate new growth and opportunities during the Games and for years after,” said Premier Campbell. “Raising awareness of British Columbia’s unique role as Canada’s Pacific Gateway will create jobs, attract new investment, and ensure we capitalize fully on the opportunities the Olympics create.”
Premier Campbell will participate in a number of events in Nova Scotia, Ontario and Prince Edward Island from November 18 to 21including:
· Meeting with Nova Scotia Premier Darrell Dexter.
· Halifax community Torch Relay celebrations.
· Meeting with various CEOs and economists in Toronto.
· Guest appearance on TSN’s Off the Record with Michael Landsberg.
· Live appearance on CTV’s Canada AM.
· Interviews with Toronto newspaper editorial boards.
· Charlottetown community Torch Relay celebrations.
