Two local music groups played at the Clinton Country Jamboree this weekend. This was ‘Clancy Wright and the Silverados’ second performance at the annual event, and the first for ‘A Perfect Match’.

A Perfect Match, made up of Cindy Lightfoot and LeRae Haynes, performed dance favourites with their signature rich vocals and keyboard collaboration and the Silverados ‘wowed the crowd’ with their smooth country sound and instrumental expertise. Dancing broke out spontaneously with both groups, and during the Silverados’ hour-and-a-half performance, people danced on the grass in front of the stage, as well as in the beer garden.
The Silverdos have been playing together for over eight years, and delighted the audience with favourites that included ‘Adalina’, ‘Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off’, ‘Fast Forward’ and ‘Till I Gain Control’.
A steak dinner, various vendors, cowboy poetry and lots of music characterized the event, where people of all ages celebrated Cariboo traditions at their finest.

Cindy and LeRae instigated toe-tapping and enthusiastic sing-along activities in the crowd throughout their hour-long performance, with a song list that included ‘Dumas Walker’, ‘Build Me Up Buttercup’, ‘Could I Have This Dance’ and ‘Let Your Love Flow.’
