Skiing and snowboarding reign supreme as Canada’s winter sport of choice during National Learn to Ski & Snowboard Week (NLSSW), January 16-24, 2010.
National Learn to Ski & Snowboard Week was established more than 30 years ago as a celebration of Canada’s favourite season for millions of Canadians: winter. Every year in mid-January people of all ages are encouraged to head to their and discover unlimited winter fun.
“There’s so much to discover at Canada’s ski areas this season,” says Colin S. Chedore, President of the Canadian Ski Council. “Skiing, snowboarding, snowtubing, dog-sledding, cross-country skiing … there are all kinds of activities to choose from, especially during National Learn to Ski & Snowboard Week. It’s the perfect time to experience winter fun at Canada’s ski areas.”
NLSSW events for the year 2010 include fun and games, races, outdoor BBQs, on-snow concerts, jam sessions, halfpipe and Big Air competitions, 2-for-1 lift and lesson discounts … a host of activities designed to celebrate winter.
