Bored? Sitting by your computer reading the news? Well, get up and get out to the South Cariboo Recreation Centre and watch some hockey!
The 22nd Annual 100 Mile Old Stars are hosting their annual hockey tournament. There’s a lot to do here. Thirteen teams and three divisions are battling it out for first place.
Divisions and teams are:
Rec 19 years and over
Red Rock Grill
100 Mile Recs
Young Guns
35 years plus
100 Mile Old Stars
Williams Lake
RE/MAX
Canstam Bruins
45 years plus
Group 1
Old Cats
Kamloops Inlanders
Hope Retreads
Group 2
100 Mile Old Stars
The Lunds
Salmon Arm Cavaliers
The tournament is all day today, with the last game starting at 5:00pm and tomorrow starting at 7:00am, with the last game starting at 2:30pm.
You can buy tickets for the Meat Raffle from any Old Stars hockey player and there is also a Concession Stand and Players’ Lounge for adult beverages.
Tonight, the league will be hosting a dance at the 100 Mile Community Hall with live music.
