The 100 Mile House Curling Club is hosting a Charity Challenge Fun Bonspiel on November 7th, starting at 9am.
Proceeds of the fun event will go to the 139 Children's Fund Raising Society. The 139 Children's Fundraising Society is made up of volunteers and corporate sponsors, throughout the Cariboo - Chilcotin. The society has raised thousands of dollars to help the kids, and their families, to get the medical help they need. Their motto is "kids deserve the best chance in life", and that is what the society is all about. The society keeps the money in the community for the families, which are in need. The society helps children travel to appointments, helps with the cost of food, lodging, and medical equipment in the Cariboo-Chilcotin area including Williams Lake, Clinton, 100 Mile House, Quesnel, Horsefly, Likely, Tatla Lake, Anahim Lake & Bella Coola. They raise money by doing various fundraisers and by collection donations throughout British Columbia and are all individuals with big hearts and huge dreams of helping children in need.
You can help out this charity by signing up to play four fun end games at the 100 Mile House Curling Arena. The bonspiel is open to everyone – male, female, young or not experienced or are new to curling, businesses, employees, families, friends and the general public.
The cost is $80 for a team of four and snacks are provided. Refreshments are available upstairs.
