Halloween Bake Sale at the Women's Centre is back

It's that time of year again, and everyone's mouth is watering in anticipation of the 100 Mile House & District Women's Centre Society Halloween Bake Sale.
The Halloween Bake Sale is on Thursday, October 29th from 10am to 3pm. Come early so you don't miss out on your favourite cookies, pies, tarts, and other goodies.
The sale is at 475 S. Birch Street, in front of door of the Women's Centre at the Bridge Creek Centre.
100% of the proceeds go towards funding the drop-in program at the centre. This includes the Clothing Closet, Lending Library, computer access and the emergency food cupboard.
The Women's Centre sees over 2,500 women each year and all general funding is done through fundraising efforts. They offer many programs with all costs covered by fundraising and donations.
The Ministry of Housing and Social Development provides funding for only an average of 50 women and children fleeing from domestic abuse to a safe-house environment, and a relationship abuse and sexual assault counselling program for only about 375 of the centre's clients.
