The goal is fun in 100 Mile House
The 100 Mile House and District Soccer Association is receiving a $5,000 provincial boost for their Provincial "B" Cup Championship from the Hosting BC program.
“Sporting events are great for families and this event will allow us to show the friendliness and the hospitality of 100 Mile House,” says Cariboo-Chilcotin MLA .
Hosting BC is an initiative of the Province of British Columbia to build the province’s reputation as a premier event hosting destination, providing grants to organizations throughout British Columbia. Since 2004, Hosting BC has invested more than $2.6 million in 34 communities to host 188 events.
As part of the 2010 Sport Legacy Fund, the Hosting BC program funds international and national level events and has been expanded to also include an allocation for smaller provincial, regional and invitational events so that more B.C. communities will be eligible to apply.
