RCMP highlights to October 4, 2010
100 Mile House RCMP responded to 78 complaints and calls for service during the past week.
On September 27, 100 Mile House RCMP responded to a possible break and enter complaint to the pump house at the 108 Mile Ranch. The lock had been removed but no entry was gained into the building. Police are asking anyone with any information about this incident to come forward.
On September 28, 100 Mile House RCMP executed a search warrant under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act at a residence in the 108 Mile Ranch area. 248 marijuana plants were seized, along with marijuana production equipment. Charges of production of marijuana and possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking are being recommended to Federal Crown against a 40 year old male resident of 100 Mile House.
On September 30, 100 Mile House RCMP executed a search warrant under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act at a residence on Highway 24 near Lone Butte. 379 marijuana plants were seized, along with marijuana production equipment. Two males were located in association to the property and were detained. Chanrges of production of marijuana and possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking are being recommended to Federal Crown against a 45 year old male and a 53 year old male, both residents of the Lower Mainland.
On October 3, 100 Mile House RCMP received a complaint of an impaired driver near Canim Lake. The vehicle was located on Canim Hendrix Lake Road. The female driver of the vehicle was determined to have consumed liquor. An approved roadside screening device and the result was a fail. The driver was detained and returned to the 100 Mile House RCMP detachment where two breath samples of 210 mg% and 200 mg% were obtained. Charges of impaired driving, driving over the legal limit and driving while prohibited are being recommended against a 38 year old resident of Canim Lake.
