Police seek public assistance to locate stolen utility trailer

On September 8, early in the morning, unknown culprits stole a white 1999 Ford F-350 truck and covered black utility trailer from McLeese Lake, B.C.
The utility trailer contained approximately $50,000 in retail clothing. The vehicle and trailer were driven to the Highway 97 construction zone, where six racks and eight tubs of clothing were discarded.
The trailer was then dropped at Highway 97 and Canim-Hendrix Lake Road near 100 Mile House where it was recovered later in the morning with the bulk of the inventory still inside.
At 5:30am, the gate lock at Meridian RV was cut and a white PACE brand, covered utility trailer was stolen from the compound. This trailer is the property of Terasen Gas and had Terasen Gas decals on all four sides. The unit number is 06974.
The Ford pick-up was later recovered in Vernon, however the trailer was not.
Police believe that these two events are related and are asking for the public's assistance in locating the stolen items.
