RCMP News Briefs to December 28, 2009
100 Mile House RCMP responded to 61 complaints and calls for service over the last week. Some of the highlights are listed below:
Sometime overnight on December 21 someone tried to gain entrance to a shed at the rear of the Christian Life Fellowship Church at the 108 Mile Ranch. The door was damaged. Nothing appeared to have been taken. If anyone has any information about this incident, they are asked to call the 100 Mile House RCMP or CrimeStoppers.
On December 23 100 Mile House RCMP received a report of a break and enter to an apartment on Cedar Avenue. The door to the apartment had been forced in. Prescription medication and some small toys were stolen. The investigation into this matter is continuing.
On December 23 100 Mile House RCMP responded to a residential break and enter in the 4700 block of Kitwanga Drive. Entry appeared to have been gained by a window being broken at the back of the residence. At this time, it is unknown what was taken. The investigation into this matter is continuing.
On December 24 100 Mile House RCMP responded to a report of a residential fire in the 400 block of Horse Lake Road. Fire crews were already on scene attempting to extinguish the blaze. None of the occupants of the residence were injured. The investigation into this matter is continuing.
There were five reported single vehicle collisions on Boxing Day. There were no serious injuries reported from any of these incidents.
There were ten traffic related complaints over this reporting period.
"Overall, the holidays were fairly quiet," stated Sergeant Don McLean, Operations NCO for the 100 Mile House RCMP.
