A huge thank you went out to retiring Directors Rob Wilson, Troy Forcier and John Peever for all their hard work and dedication to Mt Timothy.
There is a lot going on up the hill to get ready for the ski season. Manager Noel Thompson reports:
“Hi everybody, we have been going flat-out up here creating lots of new and exciting things for this season. The construction of the new platter lift in the Terrain Park is going at a break-neck speed; we have all the concrete for the towers and stations poured and will be backfilling and landscaping in the first week of November. Then we'll put five towers in place, install the cable, hang the platters and test the lift. The new magic carpet lift should be on the mountain by the second week of November - the new lifts are a great addition to the mountain.
The new Technoalpin M18 snow-making gun is now on the mountain and will be generating snow early December. This gun is totally automatic and takes the guess work out of making snow. The new Prinoth BR350 groomer should be arriving by late December. What a great machine! This one has lots of extra features to offer you great grooming. (Thanks again to Western Economic Diversification Canada, the Community Adjustment Fund and Northern Development Initiative Trust for this funding opportunity).
